Many pollinators will visit these dainty pink flowers nodding atop grass like foliage. Seeds are eaten by songbirds in the fall and through winter months. Easy to grow, drought tolerant, deer resistant, and Black Walnut tolerant. Black Walnut emits a biochemical called Juglone into the soil that can inhibit some plants growth. Many native plant species that have evolved with Black Walnut are tolerant to Juglone. These little bulbs are edible and can be grown in a rock garden, cottage garden, prairies, and borders.
