Soft silver-gray foliage is the best ornamental feature. Useful as ground cover in rock gardens, and rocky slopes. Good drainage is important. Butterflies appreciate the small white flower which resemble a cat's paw. For a contrast in foliage and blooms plant with Prairie Smoke (Geum triflorum).
