Cutleaf Coneflower can display 2 – 4 inch bright yellow flowers from summer well into the fall. It is very tolerant of hot humid summers and makes a great addition to open prairies or grasslands. Butterflies are attracted to the nectar when in bloom and songbirds are attracted to its fall seeds. Often times the rosette of leaves at the base of stem will persist through winter creating an attractive winter ground cover. It is a host plant for 17 species of moths and butterflies (NWF). Plant as a back border or naturalized areas.
