Arrowwood Viburnum is a diverse shrub that will thrive almost anywhere it is planted, including shady areas. Profuse white blooms appear May through June providing for many pollinators then turn to blue to black edible showy berries for many songbirds and small mammals. Plants will produce more fruit with more than one genetic strain, we recommend planting more than one. Viburnums are host plants for 90 different moths and butterflies (NWF) including the hummingbird moth. They are juglone tolerant. Juglone is a growth inhibitor emitted from Black Walnut trees. Us as a hedge border, at the woods edge or as a screen shrub.
