In late spring clusters of fragrant white flowers are followed in the fall by bright red berries that often persist through winter. Not only is it a beautiful tree it is an all-around bird haven. They will use the tree to build nests and eat the fruit in the winter. Being a smaller tree, it works well close to power lines and urban landscapes. Tolerates pollution and black walnut well.
